No one from here would get past him, he could sniff bull shit a mile off. You could ask whoever hacked [ah em!] if the John Peel code is hackable though?
I'd just point out my extensive collection of early 80's hardcore punk with a smattering of hip-hop and Big Beat/breakbeat tunes, combined with a good all round knowledge of pop music in general.
If that didn't impress him, I'd have to sing (?) the lyrics to Teenage Kicks.

Well the first thing is you'd have to be honest, and then I think you'd be straight through, so I would have to say, "John, 90% of all the music you ever played was total crap, but you always appeared to be a gen bloke and Home Truths was a very excellent good programme, and down there on Mother Earth they're all missing you".
I often listen to the World Service at night, as I don't seem to always need a full night's sleep, and I sometimes heard John Peel's programme where he played the most peculiar music, and spoke learnedly about the performers. Not my taste, I must say. But Loose Ends was good. Still very sad he died so soon.
