Just watched the House of Lords discussing the cases of John Packwood and Henry Stableford in respect of international arrest warrants. The government spokesman said that the Government had NO evidence that our citizens would not receive a fair trial in a Moroccan court. he also said that the fact that John Packwood was pardoned did not mean he was innocent. He said that the Government does not interfere in trial in other countries except where the death penalty in involved. As far as they are concerned you can rot in a foreign jail no matter how innocent you are as long as they don't kill you.

With friends like this Government who needs enemies?
