I'm looking at buying a 35 foot boat which has a John Mast in boom furling system. Does anyone have any experience of using this system? The boat is 15 years old and the system was fitted at manufacture. The boat has an electric winch. I have heard varying reports on how good these systems are and how easy/difficult they are to operate. I'm a single handed sailor.
