Jewsons to the rescue

Just read this on the BBC news site ... a blokes mate fell overboard but when he tried to get help he could not understand the french coastguard who no dought spoke french and this bloke didn't ... so he phoned his local Jewsons branch and asked them to contact the UK coastguard ... amazing the lateral think people employ ....

Yes it is. It took a couple of hours to find the MOB. Apparently he was wearing a survival suit. BosonHiggs is running a thread on the French CG not speaking English.

Before starting this read I just searched for "Jewsons" found nowt and thought the story had not yet been posted ....

Well, on the French/English thing thats one point as is the Jewson bit but the survival suit is another as well and he was found alive. This is a very remarkable story for lots of reasons.
