Jet ski accident at Herne Bay, 1 dead

An accident on Saturday between a jet ski and a man towed by another jet ski resulted in a death. http://www.kentonline.co.uk/herne-bay/news/cheeky-jordan-killed-in-jet-126533/

Very sad for the family and friends.

However, I don't really think that a jet-skier driving into a person being towed on a rubber ring can be classed as a "freak accident". Depending upon the size of the designated jet-ski area, it might be better classed as a "waiting-to-happen accident". :(

The same could be said of speedboats, in the 70's I saw a young lady horribly injured by a propellor.

The designated zones for jetski's and waterski-ing - ie a a zone in Langsone, PWC banned in Chichester - seem the best bet so far.

I remember seeing jetski's following the Solent ferries, surfing on their wake, and thinking " well it that thing breaks down he's ****** then ! "
