Hi guys,

SWMBO has issued very definite instructions that if I am going off swanning in my boat to the Azores, she will be there to meet me or at least keep me in order when I'm there !

I'm having a bit if difficulty locating a flight, I would appreciate any advice re airlines/prices etc.

As ever many thanks for all replies,

David

Fly TAP (Portuguese national airline) from London to Lisbon, and connect there to Azores - many flights a day (www.skyscanner.net) There are sometimes direct flights in the summer but these tend to be charter flights and once a week only.

I had to fly out to the Azores last year to join Stavros for a voyage back to the UK. For what it's worth, my flight was TAP, Heathrow - Porto - Ponta Delgada and cost £184.

flights to the azores

I spent the summer in the Azores. My outward crew flew home via Lisbon to Bristol . There is a weekly service direct from Gatwick once per week on a Saturday direct to Ponta delgada. Its run by SATA and you book direct on line . It cost about £330 for a return ticket , single tickets were about £180. You can also fly from Lisbon to several of the other islands. There is good ferry sevices between the middle group of islands. We enjoyed the islands very much and would love to return . The Marinas are very reasonable especially Priaia da Vitoria on Terceira where we paid 6 Euro / night including electricity.
