Jenneau Rush

We had a Jeaneau Rush. Ron Holland design. Excellent boats. Well built. Ours was delivered from France to Scotland on purchase and subsequently did a round Britain (Inc Shetland).

Can be tender but if reefed early great boat. Accommodation was traditional - last Jeanneau with quarter berth before aft cabins. Great for a couple.

Ours came with a Yanmar YSM 12 which we used just to get on and off moorings. Replaced with 2Gm20F

Some more info on the Jeanneau Rush here (though note some of the comments relate to a v similar Irish built boat) - Jeanneau rush

Seems there were different versions, some bigger masts/rigs than others, as well as different length Rushs. Reports of failure of mast base support, and other potential stress damage points if it's been raced hard.

Is the one you're looking at this one? Jeanneau rush
If so, it look quite tidy, and price significantly lower than others in Spain and UK.
The engine is stated to be a Yammar 2QU15. I can only find references to a 2QM15 (and 2YM15, a later version still in production?). I note the exhaust elbow on that engine appears to be bandaged up, so I'd be having close look at that, checking the availability of spares for that model, and the condition of that particular engine. (Is the boat cheap because it needs a new engine?)

Good luck!

looks like a slightly older version of mine, which is a sun dream (mine has taken abuse very well, crashing into nav markers, bent lift keel and neglect by previous owners. luckily i managed to get lots of spare toerail from clarke and carter and the lift keel is steel not cast iron)
