I think my battery charger has died. I need to get a professional to test it for me for a definitive answer and if it's busted to then fix it. Does anybody have any recommendations for firms close to Southampton/Portsmouth who could have a look at this for me?

Thanks in anticipation.

You could contact Jenelec direct and ask them if they have any distributers, they have web address http://www.jenelec.com.
Have you checked to make sure no fuse blown, and mains getting to charger?

Thanks for that. Yes definately 240v getting to charger and I've checked the 63A output fuse which is fine. I also put a V meter across the battery being charged and got <12v when I imagine it should register about 13.2V?

Depends on battery state , but yes should be up to about 14.5V, then dropping down when batteries fully charged.
Had a look at Jenelec website, should have an input fuse on incoming mains, somewhere on the charger, though may be under cover.

For the input 240v I've rather assumed that's ok because the rocker switch on the front is lit when switched "on". It doesn't seem that straightforward to get in to the unit to check for fuses elsewhere. I've taken it off the boat and I've got it here on the desk!
