Hi everyone,
Im thinking of buying a Jeanneau SYMPHONIE 32. I just wondered if anyone had any news or views (good or bad) on this model. She a 1980 boat & is for sale at Moodys old Yard Southampton, she is called 'TRUFFEL'. If anyone knows the boat then any history would great as the owner has moved abroad & the only contact i have is with yard & they dont know much about her. Any input at all please. P.M. me if its too bad to show too all.
Mike.

Great boats but at that age look out for the keel bolts, the one that gives out is the furthest aft. Tell tail signs are rust streaks under the cabin sole, the nuts on top are encapsulated and this has all to be ground away. On the keel there is a fibreglass patch in the centre just below the keel/hull jount, tap it and you'll find it, if black stuff/rust streaks are evident then take chisel off the cover and take a look at the locking nuts on the end of the keel stud etc.

Normal other things such as standing rigging engine, if it's the original Yaanmar it'll be the fishing boat version with the aux bilge pump, dual impellor, great idea.

Be prepared to spend some serious dosh to bring her up together, but for all that she will sail very well.

Compared to the new Sun Odesseys she is much heavier build.
