I don't know if anyone has any knowledge or can help please ?

I have two stantions which are slightly wobbly where people have hauled themselves aboard by grabbing the guardrail rather than using the shrouds. These stantions are secured through the toerail to the hull.

Does anyone have any knowledge of how to tighten them up again? Is it done from the top by slacking off the guard rails and removing the stantions or from underneath? There is very limited access underneath due to the method of construction that Jeanneau have used to cosmetically conceal everything!

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I have the 2005 SO35: I'm sure the construction is the same - 7/8 of the interior is identical. If you remove the pin and lift off the stanchion you MAY be able to put a box spanner on the bolt head you will find and tighten it. Pull up on the stanchion base as you tighten the bolt head with the spanner to help the nut grip.

If however the nut underneath inside the hull spins you will have to access it internally. Some are behind small screwed on ply panels, others hidden under stuck-on headlining, which is a nuisance, as it's difficult to get it stuck back well.
