Looking for something else now.
I guess the criteria is:
Single engine
Suitable for the Broads or Upper Thames, but-
Capable of short coastal hops, say Shotley to Lowestoft or St. Kats
Less than 11 metres
Air draft low enough to get under Vauxhall Bridge, Great Yarmouth.
Newish, cos I'm getting too old for major repairs and full time maintenance
I'm not keen on outdrives but can't find the above in a modern shaft drive boat hence I'm thinking about the NC9.
Years ago we had a Sealine 260 with a single engine duo-prop. It used to wander around at low speed when trying to keep a straight line.
Are modern boats any better now? Would an autopilot help?
All suggestions gratefully received.
