From what I can gather from YouTube he sailed several small boats across the Atlantic and he built at least two one in the states to his own design which tank tested in his bath,interesting if you can see the YouTube vids,,,,and read French?

Thanks for the heads-up about the YouTube videos; I’m sure I’ll enjoy watching them.

Jean Lacomb was a bit of an all-round legend: he was one of the handful of competitors in the very first OSTAR with Blondie Haslar, Francis Chichester & Co in 1960.

Lacomb was the only French competitor in that original event, which when you consider that the single handed racing scene in France was really spawned by the OSTAR, its no small potatoes over here.

Yes he was in a Golif a boat I dream of here in Spain?
