Don't know the cost breakdown details, just the total. When finished, he intends to sail it to Australia over a 12 month period, where it will be based. Can't wait to see it.

The best bit?? He recently had a major victory over the Government, who paid him £12 million compensation - so Blair's bought it for him!!!

Nice boat, had a look over the one at Soton last year.

They are roaded from Landamores at Wroxham down to Ipswich.

<hr width=100% size=1>my opinion is complete rubbish, probably.

After wishing your fellow Oyster owner's yacht sinks I'm not sure I want to cough! Ah well, she's insured I suppose, it's Playaway.

Not quite - he had already handed the money over from his business by way of a wrongful taxation demand. He fought it through the High Courts and got it all back, plus compensation. The Gov't (DOT) screwed up, and so the tax payer had to cough up compensation because of their mistakes. All decided by the High Court. I doubt if it will sink!

most Oysters leave U.K v.a.t. free ( lease-back swindle) only the poor yachtsman pay v.a.t.

Wow!

A sailing mate has been making promo videos for Oyster and reckons the attention to detail is awesome. Be interested in your impressions, being the owner of a mere baby.

Would love to afford such a ship, but what does he reckon to the annual running costs? Has to be 5 - 10% which is a helluva a handbag to be carrying.

Look forward to the report and pics.

oh that's ok then. Could you tell her name so I can a) keep out of her way and b) point her out to my kids and tell them "There you go, thats the super yacht that Daddy helped to buy and keep rowing you idle little gits, you know I can't afford to have the engine fixed..." And I'm sorry I wished she would sink - she could catch fire though...Jealous - Oui!

Brave or stupid!? And she's not that old! Well she is really, but she's my baby, well after my wife and kids of course. Christ! I must read How to Win Friends and Influence People again before it's too late!

You're right. I know someone who spent half a mill on a Princess 52. On his first time out, the sun went in as a Princess 65 moored next to him - he was well pissed off, as he had all his friends on board!

It seems Oysters are put together in different parts of the country. I'll find out more later. The moulding is done in one factory, don't know where, some of the fitting out is done in Wroxham, and they are finished at Fox's Ipswich? Like I say, I'll know more later today.
