Last year I wrote an Almanac/ephemeris and sight reduction calculator in JavaScript. In case it was of any interest or use to others I posted it. I've updated to 2013 and added the moon as requested.

I've tested it both when on the web and when downloaded onto a PC (Safari and IE), an iPad, an iPhone, a WinCE tablet and a Nokia Smart-phone. Once accessed there's no further need for an internet connection as the web page itself contains all the data, so it can be run from 'history' or saved explicitly.

Comments and spotting of bugs v welcome. I mostly use it as a teaching aid as it allows a student (or me!) to see the working out at each stage.

That's interesting. I'd like to try that out.....

One comment: The font used, presumably Times New Roman, is not the easiest to read on a small screen. Might you consider a change...?

The font is the default for your browser - I didn't specify in the html code. However it's easy enough to change for a bigger one so I'll play with it, but mean time just zoom in (how depends on your OS: on my PC I do the 'inverse-pinch' thing on the touch-pad).

Interesting.
I wrote several little programs in Basic many yeas ago to do my number crunching for sight reduction, mercator sailings, great circles and other odds and sods like compass errors. My computer was a Casio PB 1000 with 16K and and a 16K expansion pack.
Computers have now far exceded my limited programing ability. and my PB 1000 has long since ceased to operate.
I might download it. I had a real pride my DIY versions.
I also wrote one's for a comodore vic 20 and 64. a bit more complicated as i had to covert ever thing into radians to get it to work as hey had no sientific math procesor
