Not sure if anyone would have any advice about this but have just bought a jaguar 27 with very old cushions and upholstery. I am keen to have them replaced. Can anyone recommend a good south coast based company to do this and also how I go about advising them of the correct measurements. Should I simply bring all the cushions along to workshop and get copies made or do i need to get a tape measure and protractor and attempt some complicated geometry(which I fear is beyond me !)

Would much appreciate any advice people can give. many thanks !

This months PBO has all you need to know, and an address of the company in Fareham that will supply the foam, or, I think, do the job for you.

I have used Coastal Covers (or Gemini interiors, they work out of the same office) who have just moved to the Royal Clarence yard in Gosport. Like most they will either visit your boat for a fee or you can take the old cushions in. I had some cushions done last year and found them similar in price to the others I contacted from the yellow pages.

[/ QUOTE ]Having owned a Jag 27 I know the shape of the cushions and IMHO I would take the old ones into the upholsterer as patterns. In addition I would make the new ones a little thicker or at least buy some 1" foam to lay below the cushions.
