Jaguar 24.

Opinions please on a Jaguar 24 with fin keel as a first boat for a small family?
Its a 1991 boat with a 8hp Outboard replaced in 2005, would be used in the Clyde by complete beginners.

All advice and info greatly appreciated.

I had a Jag 24 twin keel for several years, sold 2 yrs ago. Excellent boat for your purpose, should think the finkeeler very good. I saw Kutback out of the water last time it was sold at Largs, looks good.

Yes it is Kutback at Largs.

I think more people should buy this size yacht as a first boat, you learn a lot.

The only engine that fits the Jag 24 is the Yamaha 8 2 stroke. I was told a Honda 10hp 4 stroke fits but never seen one.
