Fed up with endless problems with Jabsco Twist&Lock loo, so I bought a new pump (again).

Fitted -no problem,
No leaks
Pumps out ok
No water comes in to flush.

I have re-seated the base several times and the bottom gasket fits nicely.
Seacock ON position, no issues with the pipe.

Can any kind soul enlighten me as to where I am going wrong?

These flimsy toilets are made for "holiday use" I fear - not liveaboards like me!

Thank you.

Has the joker valve inverted in the outlet pipe below and behind the pump (the conical bit)?

Check for kinks in the flush inlet pipe. I know that sounds obvious but I had a similar experience. a kink I had not spotted was making up and down strokes hard work. After a second inspection I found a restriction that had been hidden from view.

In spite of many whinges about them, Jabsco pumps actually work pretty well. Assuming that the inlet seacock is open, the usual cause of failure, as implied above, is when the weighted flap fails to drop and close off the hole it’s supposed to close off. In my experience, this is usually due to it having been left in the ‘dry’ position for a long period. You might overcome it by leaving it ‘wet’ for a while, and maybe by doing a bit of vigorous pumping to prime the pump. Other things being equal, I would prefer not to dismantle a new unit until actually necessary.

I bought a new one recently. Every joint was leaking and needed to be re-seated and the joker valve was inverted. I needed a functioning toilet and didn't have time to return it so had to reassemble it. To add to the frustration, one of the threads on the base had been stripped during assembly.

Failure to get water to come in may, as mentioned above, be a small crab or bit of debris on one of the upper valves. Take the six screws out of the top cover, remove it and have a look.
Another possibility is a leaking seal on the piston. If this is the case, you will be able to get water in if you prime the bowl (half full) with water before pumping.
Good luck!
