I got a service kit for our Brydon model Jabsco toilet (29045-0000).
I took the flushing mechanism to bits and identified the parts that I could replace. That did not seem too difficult.
When I put all back together I found that on the flush setting it works just fine but on the fill the bowl with water setting it sounds all wrong. The up stroke sounds ok but the down stroke give a real SSSSSSHHHHHHH sound, as if air is getting in. Something is clearly wrong because only a very small quantity of water is being transferred into the bowl on this setting.
As I say, it works fine on the flush setting.
Pity the kit didn't come with service instructions for muppets like me!
Any ideas? Chaps and chapesses?
