If really cash strapped you can buy service kits, but the easiest way to fix it with practically zero chance of screwing it up is to buy a new pump assembly. (About 100 quid)

It will last for years.

Just be careful with the waste exit pipe, there can be a build up of calcium deposits lining the interior of the pipe, if this is disturbed it will start to flake off and clog the through hull or holding tank if you have one.

You will then go through a cycle of unclogging the through-hull just to have it clog again a few days later .... and this repeats ad-infinitum as all the calcium is flushed down the pipe. Been there, done that, disgusting job.

It is a very good idea to remove the exit pipe completely and if short of funds, bash the living daylights out of the pipe to remove all the calcium build up - or replace the pipe with a new one.

You might just find that the bit that the 'lock' handle locks into has just started to undo. Lift the handle, adjustable spanner on the white bit that is hidden until the handle is lifted and tighten. For a better job, undo it, lift it and check the o-ring underneath which can be changed by withdrawing the pump handle (but then starts getting into messy territory).
