Changed our pipe last week. It was similar to the picture but a little worse. I did the maths ( sad I know) it was down to less than 40% of the cross sectional area! This would be my first port of call.
+1Is the bore of the pipework and fittings all that it should be? Calcium deposits can reduce it considerably more than this example. Hoses can be cleared by replacing them or by whacking them against something (best out of the boat.) Hydrochloric acid will shift it but it is a problem to retain it in the second half of a loop.
We have a Jabsco LITE, seems to work well and the noise it makes is not excessive.
