Just fitted one of these, freshwater flush type that has a solenoid to control existing pressurised system.
Will be asking jabsco why they called it a quietflush....I can't imagine what it's quieter than; ok, the noise is short-lived, but reminiscent of an aircraft or ferry toilet, it could never be described as quiet.
Manual warns that the solenoid valve ...should be
located where an occasional drop or two of water from
the siphon breaker will not adversely affect nearby equip-ment
or supplies....
Well, it's more than the occasional drop or two....I've fitted a container below to catch the water & have maybe 5cc of water after a weekend (not a flood, but unwelcome in a steel boat) , & it seems a bit off that jabsco don't do something better than that.
Stock switches seemed a bit flimsy- tried removing the push-on terminals to make fitting easier & one of the switch contacts came off with it; it pushed back in & worked ok, but thought the switches big & ugly anyway, so fitted splashproof rotary ones instead.
But it works a treat...& no more smells...so far at least.
