Jabsco PAR-MAX

I fitted a Jabsco PAR-MAX2.9 water pump last week and sometimes it pulses perhaps every 2 or 3 minutes, then nothing for several hours then it starts again.I can't see any patern to it. There isn't any leaks either. so I am wondering what the cause could be or is it a normal thing with these pumps?

There must be a slight drip somewhere as it would be sensing a pressure drop.

fit an accumulator to stop it fussing over the pressure ?

Previous post about fitting accumulator (if you don't already have one) is good advice and will reduce the problem. Although you say you have no leak it may be that there is an internal leak within the pump - IE one of the valves not sealing completely. This would be totally invisible, of course.
