Is anybody using the (product code 23870) Jabsco diesel transfer pump http://www.nhkjab.com/tech/pdf/industrial/23870_t.pdf? Any views? I just need a simple pump to transfer diesel from jerry cans stored in the lazarettes into my diesel tank. Problem with any manual pumps (though I would prefer one) is that I need to lift the jerry cans out of the lazarette and place them higher than the deck where the fuel cup is.

I have one of these pumps. They are expensive but fine. You can't run them to pump water as they need the fuel to lubricate the blades inside. It's not a normal impellor.
Mine is in the shed and has been since the last bout of fuel bug 4 years ago. I should really take it apart and check it still works.

Yes I used one recently to empty a contaminated fuel tank on the life boat, works pretty well and if used inconjunction with a filter can clean the fuel as you pump it , i liked it to the degree that Im going to order one for my own purpose.
