The Inland Waterways Association have long advocated a single waterways body and published a Waterways Manifesto urging government to progress it's stated intention to transfer the EA navigations into the C&RT.

As far as I can see not a single Thames riparian MP pledged support.

the map on that publication displays how small a proportion of waterways are controlled by EA compared to Cart.
Why is it proving so difficult to take under the Cart wing the remaining navigations.
The only one of any real significance appears to be the Thames, surely this cannot alone be, the wasp in the honey jar. ?
