I\'ve won a BMW!???????????

In with my Yachting monthly, I found a scratch card, which when revealed, claimed I'd won a BMW X5. There could just be a catch. Anybody found it?

Yes there is a catch, there is a criminal gang operating this scam. Please send the card to me for forensic investigation.

Surprise surprise! I've won one too in the PBO scratch card. but the wording also says "you are guaranteed to receive ONE of the items below which, apart from the BMW X5, include £8K Home Improvements, Euro Disney Holiday for one and Round the World Cruise (also for one)". Read the small print on the back and I bet you get the holiday for one in Paris!
The 09 phone call will cost you £8.75 + VAT

But you can submit by post for 22p. or sent recorded delivery for a bit more. And then what?

If it is a criminal scam, why is YM promoting it?

Even if you win the holiday for one in Paris it will be departing from Sumburgh Airport on Jan 27th 2005 (no alternatives offered) and you will have to pay £55.75 airport taxes and insurance. Accommodation will be on a room only basis in a two star pension backing onto an asylum seekers camp and located three miles from the nearest Metro station.

I got one too so curious I entered the competition to discover I had won a trip to Disney land France instead . What joy at 66 just what I was looking for . I opted to take the money instead . Still waiting , waiting , waiting , waiting .

My Daughter was in London on business about 18 months ago.. Iasked her to pick up a copy of YM at the airport on her way home..( it takes 2 + months for us to get our copies out here) she did,. I found I had won a hugh amount of money in a " scratchie"... all I had to do was send about $50 to retrieve it.. I said take it out of my cheque and just forward me the money ... I am still waiting
Yep a scam. I asked Kim about it also... he was not aware of what was happening.

See here http://www.oft.gov.uk/Consumer/Scams/Premium+rate+phone+numbers.htm I would give these the time of day to even scratch them. If its to good to be true then it probably is a scam. In fact I think its scamdalous /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif.
