I\'ve got a Fladen Flotation suit

I'm doing a few overnight passages this year, and after reading some of the good comments on these forums about the Fladen flotation suits, I've just bought one £75.90 delivered from UK-Fishing-Tackle.co.uk which turned up today.
Well chuffed with it, it's better than I was expecting for the price. Lots of pockets - v comfy and fits well and providing it stays dry, good enough to sleep in........bring it on!

Why is the other 'branded' marine gear so much more expensive?

No connections, just a happy customer /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I, too, have a fishing flotation suit that I bought for £99 three or four years ago and it's great.....for fishing.

I've used it in the Arctic for both fishing and sailing and provided that you don't have to move about too much they're great. However....

Try having to nip quickly around the deck and a. the suit is too cumbersome and b. you'll be a pool of sweat for an hour or two afterwards.

I'm very happy paying the extra ££ for my Musto gear!

Yes the flotation suit is a bit bulkier than my Henri-Lloyd gear that I wear for my daytime sailing, but I'm prepared to forgo a bit of freedom of movement to stay warm and (hopefully) dry which my expensive gear has never managed to do yet /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
