I've added a mast

Hmm - your sails might be a bit small for the size of boat you might be able to recyle them off a 420 .... Was it because you don't want to add a keel for the upwind work?

The mast is actually telescopic, as is the keel, so she is really a big Magregor 26

if you are that concerned about the fragility of your engines ;), then a spare bag containing a 3 to 5 sq m steerable traction kite might be a sensible option. It would give you a bit of steerage way (mine's enough to pull me over in F4, so I guess about 180+Newtons) and would make you quite visible to the rescue services.

Lots of empty space on your foredeck to deploy it as well !

Coo ... Er ... I hope you remember to keep your ballast tanks full - even when planing .... and have you fitted the outboard to the back?

And another thought ... if you're going back to being a sailing vessel (of sorts) does this mean Wightlink may be after you again? Or is this just another diversionary tacktick? ;)

Same as yours

Oh - and what mastic did you use to fasten the keelbox? Is it the same as mine? If so, do you have the spare Uhu glue - just incase .... :D

I wrote to your manufacturer and they sent me a free pack of elastic keel bolts and some mastic that smelt like chewing gum.

I was missing the battles with the IoW ferries so along with peace of mind with a sail up for propulsion it gives them something to aim at.

Also in Chichester I can permantly have the sail on a starboard tack and mow down the dinghys
