Just had a call from the delivery crew to say that our new boat has arrived at the marina and is tucked up in its berth! Now have to wait impatiently till my wife has finished the telephone conference she's on, then fight round the M25 for a couple of hours - then we are waterborne again! It's been more than eight weeks and cabin fever has definitely been biting!!!

I know the feeling though ... used to get it every winter when I laid the boats up ... now I leave them in service all winter ...

We're just starting a contract that is based a few miles from the marina - have been desperate for the boat to arrive because the alternative is a large hotel bill. It will be our home for several days each week...
