Just about to go to bed, looked outside and there it was, froggin snow! Best winterize your boats boys and girls. If it's starting now, here, it may be a bad one. :(

Okay I know, Scotland's had it already, but for us to get it ( Yorkshire (God's people)) Well... what can one say.

You may now take the p*ss ....

Fair covering here too. Temperature 2c.

temp about the same here. Never seen snow here before, in October (when sober that is). Nice and warm on the boat though.. When we had the BAD winter 2 years ago the snow, and more importantly the frost, started in November. This was less than 12 weeks after relaunch.

When we went back into the water in 2010 there were at least 10 fresh coats of paint on the waterline. The first 4 coats were chlorinated rubber and were the only ones to survive. We were out again in August this year. The CR was still there.... I just hope that we are not in for another dose of -17c. We dealt with it, the boat was okay, but I was dragging domestic water back to the boat for weeks. I really don't want to do this......

It's only a bit of snow, I hope.

warm spring day here 35max forecast. Migrate..... olewill

Ha bloody Ha, Ha, Ha. How do I get an 8 ton, 60+ year old boat to your neck of the woods? I know she wouldn't like your spiders and snakes anyway....

'ang on a minute. Carol Rowbotham came to see us on the 27th September this year. She's (ex-pat 40 years) from Brisbane. She MUST be one of your neighbours!!? Sorry, can't be arsed to check out the geography. It's 1:45AM and winter here, not flippin' summer.

Just out of interest it was Carol's father, Dr. Brownlee, who commissioned this boat in 1950. How cool is that? Last time Carol was on board was 1957-8

Love it! (hope you're reading this Carol and your lad (army, Afghanistan,) is back home and safe)
