It\'s Off...........at last.........

...just spoken to the friendly man at the yard and he tells me that that bloody stainless wheel that was causing me so much angst is now off its spindle..wowee!!!

He happened to have a very thin-sided socket spanner which just made it so with a bit of luck I can fit my nice new teak wheel this weekend and the stainless one can go back on the for sale forum.- or I might just use it to make a revolving table or summink!

Re: It\'s Off...........at last.........

Just refurbing dash as well so hopefully all will look ticketyboo soon......
On that subject, how do people manange to so totally cock up the original wiring arrangements over the years. Mine is still basically as delivered but with lots of little add-ins/soldery bits with no apparent purpose other than to confuse..ugh!

Mine has more spaghetti than an Italian restaurant, all the wire have been taken out of both sides of the fuses so on some circuits there’s no protection at all. The dash has more holes than Swiss cheese. When all the new instruments went in MMS had to make up a new backboard. Everything is all crammed in, not very pretty at all, will have to do something about it.

Re: P32 wiring

On the one occasion I looked behind the hatch under my 32's dash I had the same experience

Re: boat wiring

it is a well known fact that every owner must add at least 13 bits of wire of various colours and thickness which on no account must appear to do something.they must disappear into corners of the boat which cannot be seen unless you are upside down.all above MUST be held together with either sellotape or insulation tape which has gone all manky and sticky....
