From "The Guarniad"

As stricken cruise ship docks in the Seychelles, passengers describe overflowing toilets, no electricity and stifling heat

what the f@@ck are they complaning about: it seems like a normal cruise to me.... isn't that what sailing is all about?

Teach them how to change the Jabsco seals
Teach them how to save on battery power and not turn off the wind jenny because of the noise

stifling heat? ... why the eck go sailing in the Indian Ocean, try the Irish Sea next time :D

Quite right, bloody wimps.

I'm always amazed by the people on these things; when the lights go out/power fails they will be told to refrain from using the lavvys as the they won't be operational, yet they always do and it always ends up stinking and they always end up forced to stand on deck to escape the pong. Human beings are stupid.

Hah! You obviosly have not experienced the vitriolic abuse aimed at me by our female crew members on a recent charter, when I said they would have to wait until tomorrow as our holding tanks were full.

Maybe they could have had real heads!

Just as an aside to the title of this thread, one of the Costa fleet is called "Costa Fortuna" :D

The first time we saw her in Funchal we thought they must be having a laugh.

Just as well this was not the one that ran aground as I think the name actually means "Lucky Coast".
