... but the sailing is still great. Tuesday.
Took just under two hours to sail from Titchmarsh to The Clamp where we had a leisurely lunch whilst the tide turned. Then double that amount of time to motor-sail back again. Interesting ploting information from a GPS unit afterwards, really was very slow progress against the chop in the channel across Pye Sands and the wind as ever bang on the bow. First time down the Walton Channel in the dark but fortunately there are still a few boats on their moorings and it was not too difficult to creep from one ghostly outline to another.
A few boats out and about including a couple of brave soles headed for the Wallet... as night fell... with a gale forecast... and wind against tide for the next 3 hours. They must be mad!
