It's chucking it down

Re: It\'s chucking it down

Hi Maggers. Just got back from family hols down south (Ireland) and weather was excellent all week. Today is 23c and F2 onshore breeze Dublin Bay.
I have just read your poat re: your trip to Palma and send you a harty congrats and all the best for your Balearic experience.
Our last trip to Mallorca was in April and we found a lovely marina west of Palma - Port Adriano. There is a new owner to Utopia Restaurant (Fernando) who goes to great length to welcome all clients and the food is superb and very reasonable. Claudia Schiffer and clan were in there for lunch on our last day having berthed "Mona Lisa" by entering marina stern first and berthing to port past fuel dock.

I have more images if you are interested.
All the best,

Beautiful in the Lake District. I had to come back across the lake to go and change from jeans to shorts. Sun, hot - hot, sun.

Oh dear, what a shame, never mind! Been a great day cruising around Portsmouth Harbour and a fantastic evening - I was able to top up my tan very nicely /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Sounds great - enjoy. I assume though that rejoining the rat race allows you to "opt out" every now and then! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hi Mick, nice day here also, hope you had a great hol. Out on a charter tomorrow (subject to weather, not looking good at mo). Just had boat lifted and scrubbed at Whitehaven, clocked 38.4knts on the way home to IOM on Wednesday.

Hope boat is back in shape after fuel probs.

Cheers for now

Re: It\'s chucking it down

Yup it happens, just open another bottle and wait for it to improve -which it most certainly will. Anyway it gives you chance to get to know the area landwise (supermarkets, eateries etc)

How are you finding the marina for location and atmosphere? The six lane highway cutting you off from Palma would be a bit of an issue for me I think.

Magnum, the Deleted User patented Med weather theorem states that when the weather is crap in the UK, its fine in the Med and vica versa. Since the weather is usually crap in the UK, that means its usually fine in the Med

Re: It\'s chucking it down

I guess it just got significantly better in the med then, if todays weather in Wokingham is anything to go by!

Re: It\'s chucking it down

Last year, when we first arrived in Majorca, our first two visits were marked with appalling weather, I received several text messages from "friends" on Windermere telling me how wonderful the weather was there /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

They haven't been able to do it since then /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
