Hi,
I am looking for information on the location and present owner of the Itchen Ferry "Dilkusha". She was built in 1876 by Summers and Payne in Itchenor and I owned her from 1970 to 1975 when I sold her to a clergyman in Poole, Dorset. The old Gaffers Association have records of her to 1980 when she was sold to a non OGA member. Can anyone give me any information about the boats present wherabouts, owner, condition etc. She is 19 ft 3 inches long, 8 ft 3 inches beam and 3 ft 6 inches draft, weighs about 9,000 pounds. She is constructed of pitchpine planking on oak frames with an elm keel. She has an external lead ballast keel and cast iron internal ballast. She has a teak cabin and cockpit coamings.
Thanks,
David Webb
