Italy for next winter 2020

Here's a video
Thanks for reposting it, M.
I didn't remember the bit taken inside the e/r - lovely sound indeed, from those MTUs!
Do you possibly remember what sort of rpm they were spinning at that moment?
Around 1800 to 1900, if I should guess?

Update for you have a price now for Pisa from September to next April and they have quoted me 8700 euros which I thought was not too bad.
I can also fly to Bristol from Pisa as well so looks an option.
Not sure what the guardiange is like there but will have to check that out when i am there I guess unless anyone has any contacts there?

I visited Pisa this time last year and went to the marina.

It is close the the airport (but took longer than I imagined to drive there ). There is a small town next to it with some shops etc. I have considered it as a wintering location . They quoted me ( I think ) e10k for a s58. I asked about winter rates but they said it was almost the same price as a year.

Flights are cheap and it could be a nice base to explore the islands and inland over winter.

Pisa itself has the tower and that is about it! We headed inland the next day in a rental car that cost e3 all in !

Florence is not too far and that is suppose to be really good place to go and won't be there much in the winter anyway but have also heard that there is not much there other than the tower!

Sorry - I missed your reply.
Yes - I know what the engines RPM was - we only travel at 980 RPM (displacement speed) and 2200 RPM (Planing speed).
So, there were running at 2200 RPM
WOT is about 2350/2400 RPM - that was 34 knots light (out of the factory) and about 31.5 knots these days with all the clobber on board and full tanks.
