After changing the head gasket, getting the injectors serviced and giving it a bit of tlc and rebuilding the water pump it runs once more!

Thanks to all those who offered tips and advice. Will give it a sea trial this weekend and see how she fares.

Well done, must be very satisfying. I've celebrated far less impressive engine feats than this. Replacing a core plug the other week was sufficient for a 5th growth.

IDK what a 5th growth is, but I was so dancing when I replaced my leaky fuel filter and bled the engine.
