But I'm now sat on one of the moorings off Yarmouth drinking tea and eating gingerbread. (Originally sailed onto the mooring in order to stow sails and bowsprit, rig warps and fenders etc in slow time. But then decided I didn't really need anything of the shore tonight so why bother going in.)
The Solent chop we had today doesn't play well with my boat, that and all the excess windage I have when close-reefed held us down to a bit over 2 knots average through the water while beating up here. Wouldn't have bothered were it not for the helpful West Solent tide turning that into five knots over the ground.
All downhill tomorrow though.
