It was cold, Windy and very bumpy on the Orwell today 29th December 2022

Looks like the boat went well and very quiet running.
Presumably it was near high tide and the sea state would have been worse if you had gone earlier ?

I was out sailing the Orwell this day. Was exhilarating to say the least. To each their own of course, but it’s a mystery to me why people take their boats out of the water, I love winter sailing!!

when we set of it was about 2/3 tide and rising. When we got back it was nearing high water. The wind was way stronger than it looked in the video

Were you the yacht in the video. If so sorry as we turned just as that Yacht tacked. He had got out very little sail out but he was certainly shifting in the wind. Looked like he was having great fun

Actually I don’t think that is me, I only got as far as Levington before stopping for a well earned spot of lunch.
