that today the news was received of a tragic accident. It all happened on Flight XX-1234, while passing over the Polar Ice Cap. The Pilot reported an object that collided with the nose of his aircraft and he requested emergency clearance for landing at nearest airport .......

It is with deep regret that Christmas may be a bit delayed while suitable replacement Santa be found ....
