It happens every time!

It happened twice this weekend- we got out sailing both days and I just ended up smiling my little head off as we creamed along. I love it /forums/images/icons/smile.gif. Aren't boats great?

If they weren't great we'd never have spent all that money on them in the first place. Mind you, just occasionally, when I'm cold, wet, not feeling as good as I might and, yes I have to admit it, maybe just a little scared!

Being a bit scared is always good for you- makes you feel alive. I'm not advocating going out and doing stupid things without experience, but just pushing the boundaries a bit at times and doing the odd thing outside your comfort zone. I think a bit of adrenaline is always good for making you feel good afterwards. ( the use of you and yours in this post is not personal)

Couldn't agree more!

I got out in my Laser for the first time in about six months. Had a F4-5 southerly which had supplied a wonderfuly lumpy sea. I was creaming along wooping like a mad man as I surfed of the top of waves etc. I was starting to tire and some of my later planing runs were getting on the verge of hanging on for dear life

Real grin factor 10!

I love my E-Boat but when it comes to pure adrenaline nothing, absolutely nothing (in my opinion) comes close to a small fast dingy: no sports car, speedboat, RIB, motorbike, nothing!

I have a habit of falling out of the back of Lasers in those conditions- it's amazing how far they carry on sailing before falling over. Tried and RS Vario last year with asymmetric and single handed. That presented a new challenge.
