It could all go wrong

Well here we are, the boat is sat at Brundall all ready for our two week holiday starting next Saturday.

The plan is out of Lowestoft down to Shotley. Have a look up the Stour and Orwell, and then off to Ramsgate. Ramsgate to Calais. Calais back to Dover, and then back to Ramsgate.

Ramsgate to Shotley again, and then Shotley to Gt Yarmouth for a brief foray into the Broads.

Then Gt Yarmouth to Wells and Wells to Hull, with the final leg being Hull to Newark for our winter mooring.

Looking out of the window this is looking very ambitious, but we will give it a go.

So if anybody sees a sulky looking, balding bloke, rapidly approaching his 40th birthday, weatherbound on board 'Moody Blue', drinking copious amounts of lager, come and cheer him up, there will definately be a drink waiting.

Cheers

Re: Moody by name

Oh for goodnes sake neil yer miserable git...

1 It's lousy weather now, so stands to reason it will be fine soon!

2. If it is windy, it'll probly be SW, so nice and flat for east coastiness.

3. Have some more lager! That'll cheer you up. Maybe.

4. Life begins at 40! I wondered why they said that, but then some aged relatives I'd never heard of started dying, giving lots more scope for lager and boat purchases.

5. You know what all the girls call bald blokes, eh? Nudge Nudge eh? Slapheads, actually, but anyway 4 out of 5 is not too bad.

...bit worried that you do not have enough time scheduled in your itenary for copious quantities of lager - hell of a lot of passages!
You are going to need to be weatherbound somewhere to enjoy yourself!

All sounds a bit complicated.
We usualy just go some place and see what happens.
If the right things happen we stay if not we go, lest we cant then we have to stay.
But then we go some place different and in a direction that the sea lets us.
Dose this clarify the situation!!
Have a larger for me and enjoy yourselves.

Re: WE WELCOME ALL WITH OPEN ARMS

A nice offer and I will try and make it, however it will be quite late when we get to Brundall tomorrow and anyway I usually have the alcohol hawk watching over me the night before a sea passage.

Cheers
