isotherm fridge

whilst on shore power in the marina i have noticed that the contents of my fridge have frozen,milk, mushrooms, bacon,yoghurts, ect.i have turned the dial anti clockwise to its lowest setting as directed by the instructions that came with it but it has not made any difference, i contacted the isotherm fridge distributor for the uk and spoke to the receptionist who said they would get technical to ring me back,still not heard anything from them as yet. but i suppose that is to be expected given the amount of customer satisfaction people seem to receive when it is anything to do with boats. the fridge is about 18 months old, as anyone else had this problem with there fridge and what do i need to do to rectify the problem.

you don't tell us if this is a new problem or a new (to you) fridge

I do know that even on the lowest setting, ours are very, very cold. Fine for beer, not so fine when orange juice over breakfast is so cold it's painful to drink, or you could use the butter like a lump hammer.

Had the same problem with a domestic fridge after moving house. Turned out to be the thermostat that had failed. SWMBO got a man in who changed the thermostat and it's been fine since.

This happened to our Engel fridge, thermostat stuck.

Caused by close proximity of fridge contents, moved items away from stat, turned it off & after it defrosted turned it on to find problem cured.

it is a fault that i have noticed the last few times that i have been to the boat, ive owned the boat from new and it was working ok then.

thanks andy i will check that ,the swimbo tends to put to much stuff in the fridge, if that does not do the trick i will have to investigate the thermostat
