Dave,
sorry don't know what a peltier is..... can't find the model numer at the mo either
It's the 12v kit, runs off the 2nd battery, connected with 16amp cable, battery is charged via a 20 amp charger. The compressor runs, you can feel the cooling plate vibrating, but it just does not get cold...

If it has a compressor, it isn't a peltier (solid state cooling) but it still has to do two things.

1) It has (or should have) a hot and a cold side. The hot side (or heat extraction) should be cooled with a fan and/or radiator to make the cold side even colder to the point of being freezing.

2) The cold side should be isolated from the hot side in some way in order to stop heat transferring and also it maybe has its own fan to circulate cold air.

Is it mounted upright? Did you give it a couple of hours after you fitted it to allow for the refrigerant to settle - fridges hate being lugged about! Try it again, when you are next on the boat.

Fitted one 2 months ago to convert my built in coolbox to a fridge. Very successful but did need insulation around the coolbox casing.
