I was there last summer. We picked up a few bags of rubbish from the islands we visited. These guys plan to pick up tonnes of rubbish so they definitely have my support...

Strangely enough, we did the same on the beach in the Cove. Just half an hour or so on a beautiful summers morning saw the beach clear of all rubbish.

It’s not just here if everyone picked up a few bits every time they went along the seashore it would make a massive difference. I make a point of shifting any bits I see when out walking the dog.

As a project it has merit, but I hope the net in the fish box they were carting off on the news wasn’t someone’s property just left on the bank ready for it’s next use.
