island berth for whit week, ideas please

need somewhere reasonably priced to berth (& stay put ...use as house boat ) for whit week on isle of wight, so can go house hunting on island, need to be able to park car reasonably close by, she draws 1.9, ideas please, as will be zipping back & forth alot, walk ashore would be more conveiniant ( but not essential )
ideas please.... east cowes would be £200 ...ouch

I'd moor up at Folly reach, as close to the pub as you can get. £1 per metre per day (I think) and you can leave the car in the pub car park - they will charge you for this, but probably not as much as they would at one of the Cowes Marinas. You'll have to go to and fro by dinghy (which is why I'd suggest getting as close to the pub as you can), or use the Folly Ferry Service.

It can get shallow up there at springs but I think you'd be just OK at 1.9 m.

And then you can pop into the pub to refresh yourself on your way home.....
