ISC Handicap System for RTI 2005

The new handicapping system for ISC ratings for this years Round the Island has added a new variable. They are looking for Empty weight and as a separate entry the Sailing Displacement.

Can anyone suggest how I might get close to an accurate figure for either or both of these, (without spending lots of money putting my boat on a weighing machine)?

Is your boat out of the water at the moment, quite often when people put their boats back in you can ask the crane driver to give you a idea from the data displayed in his cab. Not sure that travel hoists have the ability to measure?

Unfortunately still afloat, with no plans to lift out this year.

I submittedour entry without the empty weight a week ago and they have not got back to me so I assume that it is not 100% necc.

Just checked and we are on the list of entries too which confirms that they will allow entry without it.
