Bang out of order, but he does say in his biog that he's in the marine industry, so trying to screw money out of fellow forum members for something that cost him nothing is pretty much what you'd expect.
at least solitair gave them away even though he went round it in a clever way. dont know what is worth more personal details filled in on a web site to get them or possibly not. so you get more personal details via your website than tickets to give away or this person wanting blatant cash. if its a ticket that cant be sold and you buy it illegaly i wonder if you are cuaght up in money laundering rules maybe someone could confirm that
it would be good for some exhibitors at the show to confirm about the great ticket giveaway and explain why some more were not given to forum members. thanks again for my free one dont know if i can get there because coach times are not too clever but maybe next saturday
Crickey me you'd think you had worked in the marine industry or something /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif you should know of all people, we are as pure as driven snow........... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
i spoke to someone who went on saturday apparently just about every stand is trying to give their tickets away some said they got 50 some said 100 so you could ask about its just what i was told. they said it was great as the excel only gave them 3. but as i said it was good reports that came back from the show just people lacking which is a shame because of the efforts and the money they have put in that is why i am trying to make it up there to support it.
we received 50 preview day and 50 regular guest passes. Allocation was based on stand size (sqm). We actually asked for an extra 20 passes as the number of customers we wanted to invite exceeded the 100 by that amount.
Don't know why stand holders would be desperate to give them away, as they cost nothing. We saw it as an opportunity to invite customers and potential customers to see the boats and for them to have a day out with entry to the show covered.
For comparison, we receive 30 comp tickets for SIBS, but then allocation was again on stand size and we just had the little one there.
i think that for some conpanies trying to find 100 people each to invite was hard. my mate was offered tickets at most stands when he told them he would be going back on staurday. shame that more of the freebie tickets were not given away here in recognition of the use of the forum by some of those that use it for commercial purposes but then thats life i guess. live and learn. apreciate mine though so thanks s
100 tickets equates to 50 customers - assuming not everyone is a loaner and would like to make the trip to London with a friend (or even a husband/wife /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif)
As for forumites, quite a few have gained free with tickets from myself and others.
