Is this boat flat bottomed enough??!!

I spotted this boat ashore at Port Solent yesterday

Looks like it would be ideal for Chichester Harbour (Where it seemed to be registered)

Lee boards on the ground should reduce the 'sidewise' sailing a bit!

I wonder what the sailing performance (is that even the right word?!!) is like?

What's wrong withit? Its just a barge yacht, there used to be lots on the east coast.

Once upon a time all sailboats were that shape - it's only when seamen demanded windward ability that keels came in.

And who, in their right mind, wants always to go to windward!!

My reply was not a critisism , indeed it was meant to mean that there was nothing wrong with it.

You may find it goes better to windward than you would expect.when heeled the chine digs in and the angle between the topsides and the bottom of the hull form a V shape.
