Like most pubs, my local has a '6-0-clock club' you know..where the guys gather after work for a pint or three before going home to fight with SWMBO. One of the guys has just taken delivery of a Jeaneau Merry Fisher, another is just about to buy a Seaward 25 whilst another is in the throws of buying his first boat (probably a Sealine 328). That'll be four of us with mobos in our little circle..is that a pub record? The pub by the way is not close to a marina.

Well I was going to say, if your pub was called the "Jolly Tar" or the "The Mariner's Retreat" then no, its to be expected. If however, its called the "Ring o' Bells" or the "Ol' Town Tavern", then you've probably come across some coincidence :)

No, a record is a black circular thing with a hole in the middle that you play on an antique object called a gramophone. ;o)

With so many mobo-owner regulars, is the pub known as "The Bankrupt's Arms" by any chance?

In the village where I live(pop. less than 350), we have at least 7or 8 boat owners, a boatyard co-owner, who is also a marine engineer, the MD of Anglia Yacht Brokers, oh, and a small marina(southernmost on the Broads) in the village itself.
