Our boats 240v sockets are currently the French type.
I have 2 questions..

1) I'd like to swap them for UK type, but are there any smaller form factor versions? I can't find any.

2) Any idea what the left socket type is in this photo please?

Thanks
Colin

Just to confirm that it is indeed a French telephone socket, this is from my house

Must be a big boat;)

The right hand white socket in the first picture is what looks to be a "universal" socket that will take a 3 pin UK plug, and a 2 pin European plug. Surely what you need are a few more like that?

Finding them might not be so easy but can you take one off and have a good look to see if there is a manufacturers name and perhaps even a model number that you can go searching for?

The white one is a standard travel adapter i brought from home :)

Ideally i'd just like to replace the french with uk ones

On the basis you don't have a need for the telephone socket, I would just remove the complete aluminium back piece and replace with a standard surface mount UK socket. You might need to go up to 3 gang to be wide enough to cover the space, depending what it is like underneath the present socket. If you have the depth and inclination you could cut a rectangular hole in the board and fit a flush UK socket.

Thanks Dave, to be honest this corner is a bit of a mess, not sure what to do fir the best. As well as the power/phone sockets, there's also these 2 redundant (and badly fitted) volume controls that are no longer connected. And there's holes :(

What was is with the PO and his need to drill everywhere.

Or VIMAR 6U or ABB or any serious manufacturer. I have VIMAR shucko, 1U two pole, asymmetrical for 24v, and even USB for charging devices
